About the RoleUT Health Henderson is seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Specialist to join our team in Henderson, TX. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.ResponsibilitiesAs a Certified Surgical Specialist, you will:

• Maintain the sterile field and apply aseptic technique principles to ensure a safe and cost-effective environment for patients.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless execution of procedures.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program and current certification with one of the following: The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, the National Center for Competency Testing or another surgical technologist certification program approved by the Texas Department of State Health Service.
  • BLS Certification.Preferred QualificationsExperience in an operating room setting is highly desirable.
